It is so very important to know who is speaking with you. It can change the context of everything that is said. My family is doing everything in their power to try and get a smile on my face. They are aware that the days ahead are not going to be easier. I have to go through the house and get things cleaned up and get rid of things. (Thankfully there is a place that will take donations there and give them to people who will use them.)
Still, it is quite sentimental. I don’t need the chair that my Granddad made and that my mom and grandma rocked me in. I still hope that the one who gets the chair somehow knows the comfort it brings.
My husband doesn’t understand all the sentimental “stuff”. It’s just not a part of who he is now.
He worked hard to find this little quote that would make me laugh. I am not sure that it would make me laugh, except that I know why he chose this one and I know the intent because I know the source. What is given with a kind heart is accepted with a kind heart?

It is wonderful that they are working to help you smile!
I hope you find something that helps!
Everything needs to be understood in the light of its source/background.
The source matters a lot. It’s from the source we either accept what it says or ignore it.
I investigate and verify outside the source. And base my decision and conclusion of the matter on evidence and facts. Otherwise, what is being said is just heresay or imagined.
We all have to try and find something to smile about, the little things help in life.
