I have, I think. already posted this picture earlier, but I remembered the color crazy challenge and decided that I want this foxtail fern in bloom for the challenge.
This plants looks awesome like all ferns do , but when in bloom it looks even more fragile, light and airy. This is a really tough plant, I had planted one in a niche in my compound wall, but later planted a bunch of syngoniums there. Now even though the syngoniums have covered and over powered the plant you can still see long spikes of leaves pushing through the thick overgrowth.
Like other asparagus ferns this one too has small tubers that would often break the pot in which they are planted. These are easy to divide and multiply.

Wonderful fern. I have never seen a fern of this kind.
I love them Vidocka, Actually I love all these ferns that look like asparagus a wee bit more.
I used to have ferns on my front porch.
You don’t have them any more? 🙁
I love ferns , especially in decoration
They do bring some greenery yet not dense like the other leaves.
I had a volunteer come up. It was so tiny at first, now it is getting big. I love it. It has not bloomed, and I didnt know it did. Great info and I learned the name of the fern!!
That’s great, they have red fruits and seeds I have never propagated them from seeds. Now that you tell me maybe I should try it this time.
we don’t have any ferns in our current yard decorations. May have to add some…
They are so pretty and worth adding into your current yard decor.
when it comes to yard decor I am in labor. I did holes. Only where I am told to dig holes My wife’s dog can dig holes anywhere.
