For the last day of the green week on Virily I have this tiny creature. I’m not sure but I think this is Yellow-headed Spruce Sawfly larvae. It is smal, look like caterpillars and they are normally grayish-green and have a light stripe along each side followed by a dark green stripe. The full grown larvae is about 16 -20 mm long.
I think this one is s a very young larva!

I looked it up as well, and I believe you are correct. And they say the caterpillar is always uglier than the adult. Not in this case. Great shot, just superb. 🙂
This one is a baby! ? The babies are always beautiful!
From the photos I researched it sure looks like one. How beautiful.
Kim also thinks it is Yellow Headed Sawfly larvae. I have seen it for the first time and was not sure!
ooh waoo amazing nice photo’s!
Impressive photos! We have a similar subject for the green week this time.
It sometimes happens that many of us have similar subjects. I’m sorry I did not see your post before posting this creature. I could have picked something else!
Why? Why you should pick something else? There is no problem at all with that, and I just inform you that we have something in common about it.
