I know of friends who have the habit of buying clothes and accessories online. Once in a while I would hear complaints from them that the clothes were not fit, either too loose or too tight. Especially with the pants, that fitting problem is the usual issue.
This is not to smear the online trade but for me, buying shoes and clothes online is not a good thing because of that issue of fitting. In an offline store, you can fit what you buy and it can be replaced right away. For online purchases you can return the product for replacement but it takes time and you are not sure if the replacement is perfect to your desire.

I do buy clothes online, for the fitting I always check the return policy and I pay attention to my own measurement.

It really does depend on the site. I get my jeans on line because the picture I send in makes them fit perfectly.
I buy many things online, I can get things cheaper that way.
I do sometimes purchase clothes online, but not very often. I do prefer looking round the shops and trying things on.
