I’m mainly someone who is not meticulous and tend to miss out important details. Sometimes, I’d even not noticed that I’ve left my belongings behind after I finish my food.
I’ve once forgotten my whole bag in the toilet and lucky for me, realised it before it was taken.
I’m a “blur” (Confused, muddle-headed) person.
The funny thing is … I sometimes is able to spot “mistakes” quite easily (like the one on the photo above), there are some not so nice stitches… Well, I’m still using this pouch; they don’t affect me.
But this got me thinking, does this happen often? We usually see the faults of others more easily and tend to get more critical than when we commit the same mistake?
Is this double standard?

Little flaws do not bother me most of the time. i fault myself the easiest though.
Hmm… maybe its good to be lenient on yourself too…
but not ignoring mistakes :p
I do not notice something like those stitches as long as the pouch is clean and doesn’t have stuff falling through the holes. There are more important things in life in my opinion.
Yes, makes sense.
But sometimes you just can’t help noticing … lol
Important thing is not to get affected
I value function over form; strange for an artist to say but I don’t care how things look, I am more concerned with how they work…
Lol… yes, kind strange for an artist
nut we still need practical designers/artists around!
we need way more of them
At least we’ve one now :p
I don’t know how practical my work is…
Alex, more than good enough … 🙂
very interesting post Shared!
Very interesting and useful post!
Thank you, glad you find it helpful and interesting
I pay attention to detail sometimes too often probably but I always think of my flaws befor judging others.
That is really great, Carol.
I tend to judge with emotions sometimes and that might not be too good.
