Continuing with my series about Happiness. The thing we all strive for in life.
In case you missed the first post in this series you can click below and see it:
Life is short and we all should savor the moments while we can.
Take lots of photos. They make some of the best memories.
Sharing a few more quotes with you. These help get me through the day.
- Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions. – Dalai Lama
- When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us. – Helen Keller
- Happiness depends upon ourselves. – Aristotle
Snapped this Day Lily photo from last year’s garden. Waiting for the blooms any day now.

Happiness comes when you focus on living right, enjoying the simple things in life and ensuring peace all around.
Very true, I work on it every day Dawn.
Happiness does not appear by chance, it cannot be bought, it does not depend on the events outside us. It depends of the way we relate to life and the way we give meaning to our experiences.
Very true and I strive for happiness every single day.
this is a great new series – there is much to be happy about in the world around us!
Thanks, something positive I hope. The little things make up my life.
this made me happy this morning so thank you for that!
i love happiness is not ready-made.
You are always welcome. Sharing the smiles I hope.
aww, thanks – you gave me two smiles today!
As long as I remain positive I can also be happy.
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it. Groucho Marx
Same here, and some days are better than others of course. Great quote I have to be reminded of often.
Very inspiring quotes, I really like the last one, happiness comes from within. “Don’t put the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket.”
Thanks Ellie, I have to keep these words closeby to be reminded often.
I totally agree with the second quote. This is where we most often make a mistake.
That is one of my all time favorite quotes by Helen Keller. So true.
