Okay all you battle angel fans, it is time to pick your favorite layout for your favorite robot. Since this piece isn’t for a client who needs me to leave headroom for a title, there is no reason why I can’t do a closeup. But then perhaps she looks better small anyway?

possibly too nice of a sky for this piece
I decided to save it for a more suitable piece
you’ll like it more when used in a more flattering context
pretty sure I’ve already used it in the past, but I will doubtless use it again in the future…
it’s a sky background, I have dozens of them. this one is just one of the best…
a good background should always add something to the foreground
so I needed to replace the sky you liked with something more complimentary
if you liked it before, you should like it again

in a layout sense, big is better but for many more reasons small works best for this piece…

that space is for a title. in the industry, we call it headroom…
So the bottom would be legroom?

never heard it called that, the rule of thumb is to keep the bottom free for the author’s name…
