People need to have the feeling of validation. In today’s society it doesn’t happen nearly enough. When I first joined the site, I felt welcomed and thought people might actually be interested in interacting. What I learned is that people are here to make money and I appreciate that. Can we still make money and validate the joy of writing.
Validation Day is not a term I coined. They have a Validation Day at the school once a month. Everyone gets recognized for something they have said, done, or created. It promotes self esteem, looking for the good in others and is part of the “no bullies here” program.
I am going to celebrate Virily Validation Day April 10th. Every one could use some kindness and credit for their hard work.

I’m not sure I can actually call it validation, but it is nice to be appreciated. Many of the things I do on a daily basis, I do for others rather than for myself. Because of that, my goal in these matters isn’t to gain notice. I actually try to go without notice in many cases. When I do get recognition, it even has more of an impact because that isn’t what I’m seeking.
I don’t know very many people and don’t have time to do much.
