I know video games are a really big deal. People don’t just play them. They watch others play them. They join forums and talk about them. They write blog posts about them. Some people get paid to write detailed articles about them. Many players do product reviews. Etc.
I also know some people campaign fearlessly about the dangers of violent video games and how it could be the cause of so many violent crimes. They insist that the games make kids anti-social, etc.
So I have a confession to make. I don’t play video games. I’ve never played video games. But my kids do! They play A LOT! As for encouraging violent behavior in them? As a parent, I was more concerned that they never left the house! I mean … those games can be kind of addictive. But on the plus side, I almost always knew where my kids were. They were either hanging out with each other or with their friends playing video games.
Even though I don’t know much, I do know enough to name 3 video games that are probably on the Faves List of many video gamers. All are single-player games, but they don’t encourage anti-social or violent behavior.
1) Final Fantasy 10 – story and art graphics are awesome and the characters are likable.
2) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep – one of the FF characters and the Disney characters are mixed together. It’s a great combination!
3) Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core – Aerith and Zach are the best characters, and the theme of the game is really cool!

I know a child that used to become violent after playing video games. I guess is all about overstimulating the brain,
I don’t play any video games so I know very little about them but I do know that some can be much too violent
I do not know what is on the video games trend now as I stopped playing any games years ago.
I don’t play video games. Some are safe but some are not and have too much violence.
I agree. Just like some movies and TV shows. Too much violence.
Absolutely, we have enough already without adding more.
My sister. You just said a mouth full! That’s an AMEN-worthy comment!
