It’s fitting that the only automatic bid for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament that will be determined tonight will be from the Southern Conference (SoCon) because the conference is the oldest in college basketball history. The SoCon championship will be played at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, NC between the #7 seed Wofford Terriers (19-10) and the #1 seed East Tennessee State (ETSU) Buccaneers (29-4).
Wofford will be looking to repeat as Southern Conference Champions. They were the #1 seed last season, but they have pulled off a couple of upsets in order to be in the final as a seventh seed. ETSU is on a roll right now as the Buccaneers have won 11 in a row.
This game will be closer than the records indicate. ETSU beat Wofford both times earlier in conference play, but they only won both games by a total margin of seven points.

honestly i didn’t watch anything this entire weekend once the reality of IU set in.
I don’t blame you – that was a tough loss. I am waiting to see who Indiana will play in the first round
my gut is we will be a 12 or 13 seed. so so it is likely a one and done tournament.
I’m thinking that Indiana will be in one of the First Four play-in games in order to boost the ratings since it’s not that far from Dayton
that would make them a 16 seed, right now linardi has them around a 12 seed.
