The College Football Playoff Championship game will be played tonight between the #3 Clemson Tigers (14-0) and the #1 Louisiana State (LSU) Tigers (14-0) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Clemson is looking to repeat as champions and is seeking to be unbeaten for two straight seasons. However, the Tigers are ranked at #3 right now because of soft scheduling. Nevertheless, Clemson defeated Ohio State in the semifinals. LSU has taken college football by storm this season as the Tigers are led by Heisman Trophy QB Joe Burrow. Burrow has thrown for over 5,000 yards and 55 TD’s.

yeah it would have been interesting to see if Clemson could have challenged the Oklahoma record.
That Oklahoma record is here to stay because of all the players that are allowed to go pro early. Clemson had 3 or 4 guys on defense go pro early last year.
they were not that far from the record (33 games in a row). Now that was in a different time when they only played 11 games in a year. Their record went over 3 years.
