2019 New Year's Eve Bowl games

How can end this decade with a bang?  You can watch college football bowl games on New Year’s Eve.  Here is the schedule.

Belk Bowl – Virginia Tech (8-4) vs Kentucky (7-5) – Bank of America Stadium – Charlotte, NC – 12:00 PM EST.

Virginia Tech will bring the offense.  Kentucky will bring the defense.  The stadium used by the Carolina Panthers will actually have postseason football played there.

Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl – Florida State (6-6) vs Arizona State (7-5) – Sun Bowl – El Paso, TX – 2 PM EST.

This game will be ggggrrrrrrrrrreat!

Autozone Liberty Bowl – #23 Navy (10-2) vs Kansas State (8-4) – Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium – Memphis, TN – 3:45 PM EST.

Both teams have bounced back from subpar seasons.  Both teams rely heavily on the run game.  Their wheels will be protected for this game because the bowl is sponsored by Autozone.

Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl – Wyoming (7-5) vs Georgia State (7-5) – Arizona Stadium – Tucson, AZ – 4:30 EST.

I’m surprised that Nova Home Loans is sponsoring the Arizona Bowl because I would have thought that all of the mortgage companies would have already swindled all of the elderly in Arizona with reverse mortgages at an exorbitant variable rate.  Wyoming has a solid defense, but Georgia State has been pulling off upsets all season long.

Valero Alamo Bowl – #11 Utah (11-2) vs Texas (7-5) – Alamodome – San Antonio, TX – 7:30 EST.

For the last game of the decade, we must always remember the Alamo!  However, Davy Crockett did not die so that two teams with porous defenses get scored on repeatedly.
