Today we wander Wisconsin going from Racine (and the shore of Lake Michigan) to fishing on Lake Ripley. We did that when we went up to Wisconsin, stopped by Racine and then headed over to Cambridge. I think both my parents missed Wisconsin when we first moved to Indiana, so we made the 8-hour drive for the major holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, summer). I know there is a piece of me that still misses Wisconsin.
The shore of Lake Michigan was a side trip we took a few times, visiting my father’s parents in Racine (later Sturdevant Wisconsin after my grandfather had passed away). But this was the whole family on the shore. The last picture is of my sister and me fishing. That was one of our favourite activities when we got to Lake Ripely. We would rush down to the power and start fishing. Sometimes we would wander to the neighbors and buy a cup of worms,
Sometimes, we just used wonder bread. Had we known then what we know now about wonder bread I am not sure we would have eaten it? That stuff could hold up even soaking wet. Imagine what it was doing inside of you! The last picture is of us on the air. My sister has the captains hat. I cannot express greater frustrating than pointing out that my sister has that hat. It was a race each time to get to that hat first. Not, by the way fair.

I can remember Dustin doing this.
