The beginning of our relationship (my wife and I) was long walks. So when we vacation, we love to walk around where ever we are. Paris was no different. We started out Saturday morning after breakfast (we were staying my the new Arc in La Defense) and began winding Paris. We wandered from the hotel to the Eiffel Tower, (about a mile) and then all the way down the Seine to Notre Dame.
As we walked, we got to see an amazing world. My favorite thing was stopping for a coffee in the Latin Quarter of Paris. The cafes of Paris are special. They often had enclosed areas away from the weather (it was a bit brisk when we were there in the Spring). It was nice to get out of the wind and enjoy a coffee. Espresso for me thank you very much!
(Yes you have to take the iconic going down the Eiffel picture I think it is mandatory!).
We then continued to Notre Dame. We happened to start our tour of the inside of the Church right as the choir was singing. Well, they were practicing, but it was beyond amazing. The acoustics in such a huge hall incredible and the voices singing were simply amazing.
Our actual wander day in Paris was amazing! One of those trips you remember for the rest of your life, and of course pictures to share with the universe! Plus, we had five days away from the kids, poor Grandpa and Grandma.
