Visit to the Alanya Fortress

If you ever visit Turkey and Alanya resort, be sure to explore the most authentic business card of this city – Alanya Castle. The Alanya Peninsula is surrounded like a crown the fortress wall on a mountain of 250 m built in the 13th-century by the Seljuk Sultan Aladin Keikubat. The six-and-a-half kilometer-long defensive wall is hiding two castle museums and several houses where people are still living. The fortress has almost 100 towers, 140 shooting openings, and more than 400 water tanks still available.

Pictures down from the fill are like a fairy tale – it is worthwhile to climb at least once. At the bottom, there is the old military shipyard, red tower and the red sea full of pirates ships sailing tourists.

On the way to this hill and fortress, there are many houses where still are living people and little cute cafes where you can enjoy sea views. The most beautiful views are at the sunset time. There are full of people, some come exactly to look at the sunset from the hill.
