Another Colorado destination for some family fun is the “North Pole”. What? You thought the North Pole was farther north. Well, located west of Colorado Springs up Highway 24, this North Pole offers up summer time fun for your little ones in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Amusement rides abound in this homage to Santa’s workshop although I was about spun out by the end of the day. There are slides, treats,deer to feed, and scenic views as well. The North Pole is a Colorado family tradition. Tucked away in one of our photo albums is a picture of my wife at the North Pole when she was a youngster. Below, checkout the sights of the more southern “North Pole”.
