Mali Losinj is the most developed tourist resort on the island of Losinj, mainly due to the beautiful beauty of the closed bay, which is the largest in Kvarner. Today, Mali Losinj is the cultural and administrative center of the island.
Although I’m on vacation, I always look at the city sights. Yesterday, I decided to take a little look at the church precisely, passing every day to the city center. This is the church of the birth of the blessed Virgin Mary.
The parish church of the birth of the blessed Virgin Mary is located in the center of Mali Lošinj. Parish Church of Sv. Mary built in the 19th century. The cathedral is dedicated to Mary’s birth.
The church stands on a small square built between 1696 and 1775. Inside the church there are pictures and votive gifts of the sailors, the cross path and Vivarini’s altar image of the Virgin Mary. The cross of the Cross is a copy of Tiepol, located in the Church of Saint Paul in Venice.
Other great city attractions include the church of St. Martina, Church of St. Nikolaj from 1875, Ambrose Haračić High School, Fritzy Gallery and fish market in the city center.
