Tulcea is a city in eastern Romania, administrative center of the county.
An important center of the Bulgarian Revival in the nineteenth century.
The city is also an important port in the Danube Delta, situated on the river at the foot of the Thucyan Heights (204 m).
At the eastern end of the city is the Horatepe rock.
In the place of the oriental town of Tulcea, today we find a typical peaceful, post-socialist town with a well-developed center, a railway station, a station, a port, a square garden with a monument to Mircho Stari, old neighborhoods, airport.
