The Boudhanath Stupa is the largest stupa in Nepal, and one of the largest & the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temples outside of Tibet. Buddha’s eyes on all four sides represent the all-seeing, all-knowing nature of Buddha, whilst prayer flags decorate all around the stupa as well as the streets below. I visited the Boudhanath just before a festival and saw devotees preparing strings of marigold to be hung around the stupa as well as several other temples around the area.
