Nepal on my mind ~ On the banks of the Bagmati River

A Hindu cremation ceremony in progress at the Pashupatinath Hindu temple complex, in Kathmandu, Nepal. Cremations are carried out on raised platforms provided along the Bagmati River within the temple complex. Pashupatinath was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

  1. It is a very good black and white photo. A document. Is it B&W for that documentary feel?
    Norman had to say smell, … I smelled my flesh burn once while glassblowing – it’s like hair burning times 10. And that is a horrible memory,

    • Hahahaha… I didn’t smell anything while I was there, probably standing down wind 😉 And yes, I think I decided on the B&W as it made things more in-your-face; the colour kinda made it look pretty, which it shouldn’t be. Thank you very much, Howard! 🙂
