Real Madrid won the super cup!!! Last evening Skopje was the host of the match between Real Madrid ( the Royal team) and Manchester United ( the Red devils). There were a lot of people who came in Skopje to watch European football and a history event. The match was opened by Macedonian folk-dancers and eighteen children with special needs from the school ” Partenie Zografski” in Macedonia. You can see all of this on the images below. More than 2,500 police officers were on duty for the game in the tiny Balkan country, Macedonia. Four people were arrested, accused of selling unauthorized tickets before starting the match. However, Skopje organized warm welcome and host for all guests.
Here is something about what happened during the match. Casemiro hit the bar with a header and fired a shot over the top before scoring in the 24th minute. Isco goal gave the Real Madrid victory. Christiano Ronaldo entered in the game in the last 20 minutes. He had a little chance to do something for the team. But even without him, this team has shown what the Royal player team means. They defeated the red devils with the result 2:1.
Jose Mourinho was so nervous and he added: ”They have players who can pass and retain the ball all over the pitch and, though they might all be superstars, they have a keen sense of where their team-mates are. ” He also made a joke about the medal: “Sometimes when I win I don’t keep the medal, so imagine when I lose,” he said. “For me, the medal would go to some place in my house and for that kid, it’s the moon. On the other side Zinedin Zidan responded directly to his comments: “We never get tired of winning. The key thing against a team like this is, if you control two or three things they do very well like the second balls, playing high, we controlled that well in the centre of the field. But we pressured them high upfield and didn’t let them play. What was really important was when we had the ball we were cool and took our time and achieved what we wanted.” Also he said: ” The team is hungry and it always wants more”
