South Africa were 2/90 when out walked A. B. de Villiers; and things changed quite dramatically as the old warrior smashed 176 off just 104 balls with a crushing strike rate of  169.3. A.B’s innings included 15 boundaries and 7 towering sixes.

Abraham Benjamin de Villiers, globally known as A.B. de Villiers thus tells the Bangladesh bowlers; Don’t Mess with Me! It is the 2nd ODI of the Bangladesh tour of South Africa underway at Paarl and till the end of 17th over, Bangladesh looked completely in control. Their dominance with the bowl further increased when Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib-ul-Hassan struck twice in his first over, removing Quinton de Cock and Faf du Plesis.

However, when A.B. joined Hashim Amla, things changed quite dramatically and de Villiers first smashed a 68-ball hundred and then carried along with his slog till the 47th over when finally; he was removed by Bangladeshi pacer Rubel Hossain. Now the South African innings is completed and the visitors have an uphill task ahead of them i.e. a huge target of 354 to win off 50 overs.
