HOW NEWBORN SOUTH-AFRICAN KARROO LAMBS ARE TRANSPORTED IN WINTER

It’s no joke, these donkey babysitters have been doing this for generations. Newborn lambs are at their most vulnerable just after birth, predators are plentiful, ranging from, humans, to eagles, jackals, and even the occasional leopard. As soon as a donkey-nursemaid is under attack, the others arrive, kicking and biting and usually, the attacker sounds the retreat.
