After the Illinois Fighting Illini successfully defeated the Akron Zips 43-3, I am fully confident in their abilities going into upcoming games against UConn Huskies, and Easter Michigan Eagles.

Uconn was successful as well in their home opener just barely defeating the Wagner Seahawks 24-21, a game that they should have won by a bigger margin.

I was too when I saw the headlines and excitement. We should definitely come away with atleast 3 or 4 wins against Big Ten teams and become bowl eligible this season. There are some heavy hitting transfers on the team that will be making their presence known.
I’m surprised Jim Harbaugh allowed for Brandon Peters to transfer from Michigan to Illinois. I’m glad that the team will actually be somewhat competitive when Big Ten play starts.
