I know I if were a fan of the Carolina Panthers, I would be extremely shocked to learn that Panthers owner Jerry Richardson fired his Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman on Monday.

Gettleman who has been the general manager of the Panthers from 2013 through 2017 had made enemies with the fan base of the Panthers for allowing former Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith Senior who is one of the most popular players on the football team to play out his final three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before the start of the 2014 football season and former Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman who left the Panthers at the end of the 2015 football season to join the Washington Redskins as a free agent when both players did not have their contracts renewed by Gettleman.

Since Richardson is the owner of the Panthers and he is no a fan of any of his employees who decide to draw a line in the sand that the players of the Panthers roster who are loved by the fan base who leave his team to play for other teams in the National Football League as free agents like Smith and Norman since Gettleman was not willing to pay the two players mentioned the money they believed they deserved.

Now the Panthers management will have the task of looking for another general manager soon to replace Gettleman since training camp will begin next week and the last thing the Panthers need is for their football team to look like a Three Stooges video short review based on their video short for Columbia Pictures which was named “Three Little Pigskins. “
