My 2017 NBA Draft Review: OKC Thunder

21. Terrance Ferguson – SG – Adelaide 36ers (Australia).  6’7″, 190 lbs.  (4.6 ppg, 1.2 rpg).

Ferguson, a former high-school All-American decided to go the international route instead of going to college as he spent last season playing professional basketball in Australia.  Ferguson’s calling card is on the defensive end due to his exceptional athleticism.  As of now, that athleticism has not translated over to the offensive end as witnessed by the stats.

Fortunately, he will have this year to develop at shooting guard since the Oklahoma City Thunder was able to trade for Paul George this upcoming season.  Ferguson will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best scorers in the NBA.  Hopefully, the potential can eventually turn into productivity, but for this season, he will see very little time on the court as a defensive replacement.

Grade:  C-.  As a team that is looking to contend in the Western Conference this season, another scoring option would have been viable at this juncture.
