Pancic’s grasshopper is a rare and protected species, a limited location.It settles the black pine forests whose survival is threatened by the survival of this species.
Josif Pančić (Serbian scientist and biologist) found his locust in 1881 in Western Serbia on Mokra Gora, and described it as a new species for science in 1882.Later, this rare species that lives only in a small area in Serbia many unsuccessfully sought, until 1955, when Dr. Sergei Matveev on Tara (Serbia) managed to find a cocoon of this kind, and in 1957, several adult specimens .This species is characteristic that it does not fly because it has a very reduced and wrinkled wing.There are four basic types of coloring: green, brown, gray and russet.

We have very large grasshoppers in the southern US.
There are everywhere, but this species is found only in Serbia ..A few nights ago, a large, green grasshopper fell into the room…hah..It was running through the apartment,but eventually came out.
It is definitely incredible. Wow, as I always say, nature is amazing.
I do not like them inside with me. 🙂
