There are many things that just simply make me long for home. This picture is one of those things. Where I came from is my home. Where I live now is my life. Those are two very different things and often hard to explain. Both places have their beauty and mountains. Still, there is something a home that can’t be replaced.
I often go hunting for photos of home and where my heart is. I wouldn’t change a thing and I still long to be there as much as I can. There is such a feeling of peace and wonder there.
Are you lucky enough to have memories of a beautiful place you called home?
Actually I call Jerusalem my home. Where I grew up was not home to me.
My home is my stronghold. I like to go home.
I absolutely love the photo you put here. Why did you have to leave your home and go somewhere else? I am sorry you do not feel at home where you are now.
I moved because my sister had cancer and young children. I purchased a home next to her so I could help, but not be in the way.
my home, is also where I was born. It is a place that no longer exists, except in my memory a few of my father’s pictures and my heart.
but it is always my home.
Sometimes a memory is the best thing. The house could be replaced at any time. Most can hang on to a memory.
that is so true, my home is an apartment in Skokie Illinois that hasn’t existed in more than 40 years!
A lovely sunset and great memories. It reminds me of my home in Latvia from the windows I could see the rising and setting sun
I bet there are times you really miss that view.
Lovely photo and memories…Very beautiful.
It is very nice there. I miss it.
Yes I have many memories of my home before my Mom died when I was only age 14. Many childhood memories in our home.
Oh so young. You are amazing.
