Ladybug, Ladybug

Many of you may be familiar with the nursery rhyme that begins, “Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home.Your house is on fire…” Since I like ladybugs, I always found this rhyme to be a bit harsh. Follow this link to learn more about the origins of this famous nursery rhyme. Now, here’s my own lady bug poem. A lady bug here. A lady bug there. Dots on each wing as it flies through the air. Looking for shade from a sun that’s so hot. Hovering over a nice landing spot. After a long flight, It finds some relief. Gently it lands on a nice quiet leaf.

This is another post where the images had disappeared over the years. While I couldn’t find the images that were originally tied to this post, luckily I had quite a few ladybug pictures to choose from.

  1. My cat and I had our own little lady bug once. She appeared on our porch and stayed with us a little bit. My cat was not nice to her but I told her to be nicer. I really missed the little one when it left us.
