This was one little bird at Muriwai beach. It was on the track on the way to view the Gannet colony.
I took several photos, taken in 2010.
Terrific bird, usually they fly around in groups of 4 or 5 or even in 3. They don’t stay around long but this day the bird allowed me to take its photo from a distance.
Is the bird eating? You’ve got a great moment!
