Here is a Sweet songster of Huka Falls by Taupo. A Tui Bird. He actually posed for me and usually a Tui gives me a hard time photographing it. This bird seemed to brighten up when I told him he was a very beautiful bird..
He is singing as I photographed him. He is also enjoying the nectar of the Kowhai flowers.
The Huka Falls were great and have been around for a long time, but it was nice to be greeted by a beautiful songster.
Wonderful shot. Your bird pictures are amazing
So pleased you like the little Tui, this little bird welcomed me and was really friendly.
Great picture, dear Pamela … you paint it bird you sing it
Thanks this little bird was a lovely friendly Tui…They do sing beautifully.
Hope she sang you a nice song haha
what a great capture. Thank you for sharing that you have trouble capturing some birds. I’ve watched your bird pictures for years and honestly, they are amazing.
But the story of capturing the beautiful bird” made me feel better about the many I have missed!
Thanks I try to capture the character of the bird and hope that comes through. I am glad you caught this aspect. Thanks Doc…
I try to learn from the art of others. I am a slow learner though!
Sounds and looks like Cuckoo bird or is it different?
It is not a Cuckoo bird and the Tui bird is quite different. Thanks Suny
Seems you had a nice time with this bird before clicking it.
Yes, it was a very happy and pleasant little bird. Thanks Grace
