1. It’s got to be nerve wracking, waiting for the evacuation order. Take care of yourself!

   I can’t believe how bad it has gotten out there. Stay safe.

   • Thank you Gary. That desert wind is brutal and we havent had any rain in two months.. We are staying safe and have the best of the best of firefighters in the world.

4. Oh, … my thoughts are with you guys.- I spent some time like that and was most worried about keeping track of the cat and had the carrier by the door …
   Hope that you and your family and pets are all OK when it’s over — and I hope that you do not need to evacuate. (it’s kind of hard to go to sleep with the possibility hanging_) I wish you all the best tonight

   • lol Oh geeze Howard, you know it. The first day one cat was no where to be found, she did show up late at night, they are all locked inside now. That was my biggest worry now that the kids were here and safe. We are all in good spirits, the fire is 15% contained, and you know what that means. : ) We are also having a great offshore wind at up to 15mph keeping the fire in one place. Its still 5 miles away.

5. Oh wow….that is scary! Hope everything will be okay and you stay safe

   • No people died in this fire, only a handful of people got hurt, but there was a lot of horses lost their lives. So sad. The fire is 15% contained!!

   • Thank you LaJenna! The fire is 15% contained. It is still about 5 miles away from us. The offshore winds kept the fire in its place all day yesterday!!

7. Hard to leave everything behind, but in the end it’s just stuff. Please stay safe.

   • Not really hard for me, I have my kids all here in one house. The cats are mad because they can’t go outside, but with 3 huge dogs in the house they are occupied. I packed my important papers, some photos and artwork, laptop, meds and animal stuff. All the rest is just fluff, not so necessary.

   • Thank you Elenka, we had a wonderful offshore wind it kept the fire in one spot all day yesterday.

    • The fire is now 15% contained. Doesn’t sound like much but its a big deal. Thank you Carol!! We are still at home and with power too, we had an offshore wind that kept the fire almost in its place all day yesterday.
