The Alphabet Challenge: The Letter "E"

I am getting back on track here and active again.  My mother’s health has not been good and I took a little break from this site, which was needed.  As you can see, I did two posts on the letter “G”  and one on “F” but managed to skip the letter “E”=.”

I have chosen the letter “E” for Egg.  Eggs are a great choice for eating healthy (as long as you don’t eat too many).  I raise chickens and enjoy the hobby.  I have 22 hens and get enough eggs for my family and to share with other family members and also friends and neighbors.

My hens lay mainly brown eggs.  The color of the eggs you get, depends on the breed of the chicken.  I chose my breeds for the egg-laying ability.  I have Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rock, Easter Eggers, and Buff Orpingtons.  I also have a couple more breeds but just one or two of those.

We love our fresh eggs.  They are so much tastier than store bought eggs.  I also don’t have to worry about recall of eggs due to illness as I keep a close watch over my flock and know they are well fed and healthy.  I trust my judgement there over the unknown of other living conditions and health.

Thank you for stopping by and reading this article in my Alphabet Challenge!
