I will call him Daniel. He came into our school as a refugee. He was able to speak and read and write English at a basic level and was put in a modified English class, so that he, a boy of fifteen would be brought up to High School level.
I attended a special private school which only accepted children under a strict list of rules and regulations. If the parents did not accept the rules, their child could attend public school. The school was highly rated and admitted Daniel in a mix of charity and publicity.
I fell in love with him the moment I saw him. He was a quiet and self contained young man who kept to the sides. He was also extremely bright within a few months went from modified to standard classes.
This proved to me that he was worthy of my love.
