Greetings and Salutations! | Introduction from a Newcomer

Hello, all!

I’ve recently joined Virily (today, as a matter of fact) and am excited to get into the swing of things! Now, I’m trying things out a bit, so please forgive me if the formatting looks funky or like a monkey went traipsing across my keyboard.

Introduction

I’m not normally a super chatty person, but somehow my fingers get possessed whenever I’m typing, and whatever I’m writing tends to end up at least twice as long as I intended… Whoops? So please be prepared to be overwhelmed by walls of text from me, haha!

Writing

Speaking of writing, my brain is a curious little thing that’s fascinated by the smallest of things, so it’s hard to say exactly what I’ll mainly write about. I do know that a couple of themes or subjects will be making a regular appearance, though:

• Daydreams – I am an avid daydreamer. There are entire worlds in my head that are so vivid and immersive that I could happily spend hours dreaming up epic fights or little slice-of-life storylines. And frankly, it’s a pity to keep them all to myself, so why not share them online for the world to see?
• Mythology – Myths and folklore used to be my favourite genre of books to read when I was a kid. Though I enjoy a more “thrilling” taste in books nowadays, that enchantment with mythical creatures and gods hasn’t gone away. Thus, I plan on writing up little bite-sized articles about the history and adventures of characters from all over the world.
• Historical figures – History wasn’t exactly my favourite subject in school, and it still isn’t. However, there are some historically significant people that really capture my interest in one shape or form, and those are the ones I plan on diving into the books for (hypothetically speaking, since Internet exists).
• Whatever else catches my fancy – Self-explanatory, really.

Conclusion

I’ve read through the FAQ, Help, and Content Guidelines, and I think I have a basic understanding of how things work, but I would appreciate any tips and tricks you guys have in order to make life on Virily more fun/interesting/easy/etc.
