These past few days have been a roller coaster of emotions for me. Watching and rewatching the coverage on the hearing and seeing adults that get paid large amounts of money act like spoiled children simply makes me disappointed, angry, sad, livid, tired, hopeless and list goes on.

Women shouldn’t be believed simply because they are women. Mazie Hirono, the Hawaiian senator indicated that “men needed to shut up”. That is a sexist statement. She simply proved herself to be one sided and sexist. She may have been trying for something different, and still that is what she said. That one statement from one women, who appeared to angry and over the top, set the cause for women’s integrity and rights at least 100 years. So from my heart to yours “Thanks for setting us back. We will start over and please don’t try and help. You don’t get it.”

No person should be “believed” simply because of their gender. In fact, we live in such times that some people believe that gender is a matter of choice not biology.

This song is a song for women, (who want to be women) and want to feel good about themselves. This song  is about the perception of the woman, herself.
