U S Army veteran has a Christmas miracle reuniting with his dog

A U S Army veteran named Geoff Hoffman had to deal with one of his darkest days of his life on December 20, 2017 in Oklahoma when some thieves broke into his home and kidnapped his pet Pit Bull named Bridget who is female and about three years of age.

Hoffman was so sad that the thieves stole his best friend that he decided to place ads on Facebook and posters around his city to locate his best friend who was adopted two years ago.

Hoffman who served eight years with the Special Operations in Afghanistan filed a police report about his missing dog in the hopes of reuniting with his pet dog. Hoffman said that the response from the people in social media was very positive.

It is evident that someone up in Heaven must love Geoff since three days later Geoff’s girlfriend was driving down a road when she saw the female Pit Bull on the side of the road, dehydrated and with a cut to her left leg and was not fed or had anything to drink.

Geoff and his girlfriend took Bridget to a veterinarian to have her examined. The veterinarian believes whoever kidnapped the dog wanted her to be into those infamous dog fighting contests.

To put it mildly, Geoff was extremely happy to reunite with his best friend Bridget just before Christmas. Geoff has given credit to the social and news media for their help in having whoever the thief was to release Bridget and let allow her to engage in those infamous dog fighting events.

Hoffman intends to keep his Facebook page for anyone who needs help locating their lost pets since the power of social media is effective in helping people reunite with their lost pets or loved ones.

Hoffman has also used a GoFundMe page to help pay for the medical costs of getting his pet back to health which was around $2,300 dollars. So far he has collected over $3,700 dollars.

Hoffman reuniting with his pet dog Bridget was a Christmas miracle since his friendship to his dog is priceless.

One lesson of life to be learned is that not Pit Bulls are evil if they are treated with tender love and care by their owners like Geoff treats his Bridget.

  1. Thanks for sharing this story, I hope Bridget will be fine! We had a pit bull and he was the most loving dog towards people and even smaller animals. Unfortunatelly, he still had this instincts to be agressive towards other dogs.
