Really Fast, Easy and Delicious Jalapeno and Cheese Filled Bread Rollups

If you love the combination of jalapeno peppers and cheese, this is a recipe for you. These cheese and jalapeno filled bread roll-ups are so easy that it is astounding, yet the flavor is better than what you might pay for just one or two regular breadsticks at a restaurant.

These only take about 5 minutes to make, too, and you can make just the number that you want. There is no need to buy a bunch of them if you only want a few. Because of this fact, no amounts are given. It is easy to figure out the amounts to fit your purposes.

Jalapeno and cheese bread rollups ingredients:

sliced bread, crusts cut off

jalapenos, finely diced

sliced cheese (cheddar, Swiss, Jack, American)

butter

Jalapeno and cheese bread rollups instructions:

1. Flatten a slice of bread with a rolling pin. Place a slice of cheese on each slice of bread. Top this with diced jalapenos.

2. Melt the butter in a frying pan over low heat, roll the bread up, and fry it, turning as necessary, until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

It doesn’t get much easier than this. These are great as they are, or they can be dipped in your favorite sauce. They are also great snacks that will go with nearly any meal or just as a treat.

You can use whichever bread you like the best and if you want a slight variation in the flavor, simply change the kind of cheese you use.

These taste so good that people are often astonished by how easy they are to make. Making these for guests tends to make them feel special. This is a winner.

    • Jalapenos can be ‘tamed’ pretty easily, though it would take longer than this recipe takes. Neither my wife or daughter like any kind of piquancy, so I have to tame the jalapenos whenever I make them. (Compared to many peppers, jalapenos aren’t especially hot, but I still need to tame them for the girls. They love the flavor of jalapenos, just not the heat.)
