Homeland of the tomato is Central and South America, from Mexico to Peru.

My father’s family was farming and I was able to preserve some of the varieties of vegetables.
Otherwise, my father is not farming. He is currently retired and has worked in the radio electronics industry all his life.

I used to have tomatoes in our garden but I couldn’t control the aphids so I stopped planting.
Some use solution from water and tobacco to fight aphids.
I totally agree with you. I also have tomatoes in the garden. It’s not pretty, but as you said it is very tasty.
I do not like those who are like made on an assembly line!
