Colour for health

This was my takeaway salad sis prepared — crunchy lceberg lettuce, julienned carrots and cherry tomatoes, all raw, topped with a sprinkling of raisins and sunflower seeds!  I love the flavour the seeds add to the salad.

Sis sometimes cuts the tomatoes in half but I prefer them whole like this and enjoy the ‘pop’ when you bite into them. Raisins add some sweetness and energy. I like salads plain like this without any dressing – no vinaigrette nor olive oil even. Colourful food besides being attractive, always increases your appetite too!  And did you know the more colour, the healthier the food. Eat healthy always… Bon appetit!
