I stopped in at a great local Salvation Army near my neighborhood in West Rogers Park neighborhood, which is one of my favorites. There have been times that I have visited this location and got totally lost looking at items in this store. I can always count on finding many things that I love in this thrift store; it has a great selection of jeans, cardigans, leather jackets, boots, electronics, and even books. Prior to arriving, I made it a goal to stay below $10, because I was sure that I would find something that I would like and eventually end up purchasing.
I remember as a kid dreading the visits with my mom to the thrift store, which were very boring, and they had boring “Old folks” clothing, but every now and then my mom would find something that I liked. As a kid, I would always walk over to the Humane Society to look at the pets, or even stay pinned up in the book section trying to keep myself occupied while she shopped at the boring thrift store. Throughout the years, I have grown to love thrift stores, which stemmed from being exposed to many others with brands and items I love, and not boring thrifts like the ones I grew up visiting with my mom. I dreaded second hand clothing as a kid, but now as an adult, I welcome it from a fashion standpoint.
As for my confession, I looked around and fell in love with several items such as a faux leather jacket; a puffer jacket, and two cardigans, but my purchases that I left with were a poncho by Express brand for $3.74, and a pair of faux leather pants by Hennes & Mauritz brand for $4.99.

I love thrift shopping. You can get ten things because everything costs, like, three dollars. -Lorde
Nice finds I have to say and I think this is the sequel you mentioned
You are an a idiot for copying what someone already said.
I enjoy going into thrift stores. I tend to always find more than one thing that I just had to buy lol.
Same here! In the past I’ve went with a certain amount of cash that I wanted to spend because I would tend to buy things that I don’t need. : )
You did good once again with your thrift finds, great outfit!
The Salvation Army stores in Chicago are amazing : )
I love them! The poncho is too sweet, even though i wish it were solid black.
Nice finds I have to say and I think this is the sequel you mentioned
Different story, but same quote used. I stuck with it because of the low priced items found. I have one more final confession that i will share next week 🙂
Are you confessing to shopping??
Yes, indeed 🙂 I have one more final confession to share next week. Once i finish putting together the story, I’ll share my confessed purchase, and how many of those items i already have. I plan to add humor and a mention of hoarding items 🙂
You did some great shopping at a very low price 🙂
Yes, indeed! We have some great ones in Chicago/Chicagoland
