First of all, I have to be honest. I approached this movie with trepidation. I loosely knew the story of PT Barnum. Being a sideshow in New York City and then a founding partner of the Barnum and Bailey Circus. The B&B circus used to summer in Baraboo Wisconsin. In between their many stops they would wander back to the small town in Wisconsin to recharge. There is a museum and a lot of interesting history there.
That isn’t the movie, however.
The movie talks about the beginning, what drove PT Barnum.
I was not expecting a musical. It is, and I have to say Hugh Jackman is amazing.
The songs brought to life many of the scenes in the movie.
The movie is a love story, an of friendship and in the end a story of dreams.
I give The Greatest Showman 5 out of 5!
A great movie when you get 5 out of 5 stars!
I was nervous going into the movie, I left a huge fan!
