My review of the movie Creator

My father’s oldest sister was named Barbara. My uncle (my mother’s brother married a woman named Barbara. My father so loved his sister that he named his daughter for her. My sister is named Barbara. Finally, my wife’s name is Barbara.

The heroine of the movie Creator, well one of the Heroines there are two, is named Barbara.

Creator was a movie that I found one rainy cold winter Saturday. I have probably watched the movie 20 times.

The movie is set around two distinct and very different themes.

The Peter O’Toole Character has chased the prospect and capability of cloning his now dead wife for more than 30 years ago. He takes on a young student who falls in love (Barbara), but Barbara becomes seriously ill. Boris, the young man, struggles with the reality of what happens next.

It is a movie filled with happiness and sadness.

It is a movie filled with moments that are powerful, in that each of us faces similar things.

I truly adore this movie.

I give Creator a solid 5 of 5!
