Day Three of the Three Quotes for Three Days Challenge

Day Three of the Three Quotes for Three Days Challenge

Hello, I’m here writing you with ‘Day Three’ of the ‘Three Quotes a day for Three Days,’ challenge blogging in which I was tagged by Albert H Widjojo on November 24, 2017, I started my first response, my post ‘Challenge Accepted, Day one,’ on November 27th. His post Poll: What’s Your Favorite Music Genre? is a prime example of Albert’s interests, while his post, I Know is another example of his writing combined with the art which he promotes.

Now it is time for my quotes. I have these three:

  • Happiness can exist only in acceptance.” – George Orwell
  • Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” – Gandhi
  • Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, that cannot fly.” – L. Hughes

For “Day Three,’ of the ‘Three Quotes a day for Three Days’ challenge, I’m looking at our motivation for moving toward the acceptance of happiness. We all have struggles at one time or another. Sometimes we become despondent with life and the results of our actions, but I believe if we change our outlook and persevere we’ll do well. If we look to these quotes from believers such as Gandhi, we may live happily.

My first quote is by the great believer, storyteller,  and achiever, George Orwell who understood that “Happiness can exist only in acceptance.” A man who could alter the views of nations with his media. Many recall his radio and TV escapades, but I’ve read his books as well and found the motivation he is driven by in there as well.

My second quote brings us the man who defied empires and people of power, through determination he understood that we should “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” Gandhi gained much knowledge in his lifetime and not only through formal education but also with experiences in life. Knowing this philosophy of knowledge being powerful and giving one the skills to achieve great goals, Gandhi moved nations, altering his own path in life.

And for my third and last quote, I give you, L. Hughes who came to understand that we need to “Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, that cannot fly.” I think most of us who are here, want to fly in life, rising above the crowds of society. If we hold onto our dreams and act on them, we can achieve life’s goals, protecting our happiness.

This brings us to the end of ‘Day Three’ of my ‘Three Quotes a day for Three Days’ challenge. Join me for more of my blog posts here on Virily or over on InUPress.ca. I will be enticing you with more of what I find as motivational notes or polls, or with stories such as the medieval fantasy ‘Morgus’ or sci-fi/fantasy ‘Eren’s Challenge.’. I discuss such things with you as motivation, writing and being published, I look forward to your comments and questions to open further discussions on these topics and others with you.

Let’s all … Believe in ourselves!

May the words stay with you!
