If there is something interesting to know when celebrities find a way to make the news of their life adventures after their prime era of making television shows and or movies is becoming a memory since none of us can beat Father Time.

Actor and comedian Bill Murray who is known for his work on the early years of the National Broadcasting Company comedy called “Saturday Night Live” when he sang Happy Birthday for a celebrity living or dead on the “Weekend Update” segment from time to time with the bust of the person he was singing to on the desk.

Murray at the end of the segment on “Weekend Update” would finish his time on the segment by saying “Now get out of here. And I mean it.” which I am sure he said that statement with his tongue firmly in his cheek of course.

Murray and his five siblings are opening a second restaurant which is named after on his most famous roles as Carl Spackler on the hit 1980 movie “Caddyshack”.

It figures that Murray is giving his fans what they want in naming a restaurant after a comedy about the game of golf which either you liked it for the wise guy comments by the late comedian Rodney Dangerfield or you were offended by the behavior of the teenagers in the swimming pool scene where their actions make Spring Break look like a quiet day at the beach.

The Caddyshack restaurant is located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the Chicago area. The restaurant has images of Murray’s movie roles throughout his career in show business as well as his relatives and co-stars of the many movies he has made in his show business career.

It is a nice way for Murray to make money outside of show business as well as keep his name in the news giving back to his fans for supporting him throughout his movie and television roles that made him famous.

    • I did not know that Bill Murray had opened up a restaurant chain either since the only restaurants that are run by celebrities are “Planet Hollywood” and “Hard Rock Cafe”.
