Circular footprints in the snow…

The footprints

ahead there in the snow

were circular.

The long circle was

the

path.

Beginning at

the end

but the ending

at the beginning

confusion was less a rule

more

a moment.

I am the last one

the first one

long gone its circular journey

now complete

the beginning

becoming the end.

Does the answer

lie in the middle

rather than in the beginning

or at the end?
