This is another rendition of You Raise Me Up, this time by the group called Celtic Woman. The singers of this group have very pure voices and if you aren’t actually looking at who is singing the lead, it is difficult to tell who it is because they sound very much alike. They have fantastic harmony.
This is an Irish group that was originally formed for a one-time performance, in Dublin in 2004. However, they were so popular that they’ve continued on up to the present. Members have come and gone, but the music remains pure.
Note the violinist, Máiréad Nesbitt, who opens this song. She doesn’t sing, but she has a remarkable talent in playing the violin. These ladies are beautiful and their music is, too. What do you think?
They are so talented, voices like angels.
I agree. The first time I heard them, I was in awe, literally.
Angelic is the first word that comes to mind.
A beautiful song, sung beautifully. I reckon it only really works when sung by pure Irish voices!
Probably not, at least not in the way that they sing it. I’ve loved the music from Celtic Woman for a long time now, almost as long as they’ve been around.
A really great rendition and great violin playing.
I couldn’t agree more.
