Carnival in Xanthi, Greece, 2018. For the first time the event was organized in 1926 and the traditions of his celebration continue to this day. The carnival processions of the day pass the relay to the evening entertainment, illuminated by fireworks and lighting, rivaling worthy of fabulously decorated bazaars.
On the old tradition, with the onset of spring, Greece is covered by a carnival fiesta. Most of the carnivals are in honor of Dionysius – the god of joy and wine, and are a legacy of the ancient Hellenes, others worship local deities of old, but all embody the color and charm of the country of democracy – Greece!
Wonderful and fun captures!

Looks like tons of fun for all Georgi!
Georgi that looks like so much fun! Great pictures they make the carnival come alive.
In 2001 I was in Thesaloniki on the same holiday. Greeks know how to have fun!
