The blacksmith’s bellows

Before the invention of the bellows, iron blacksmith (also known as blacksmiths) had his apprentices blow through hollow tubes at the base of the fire. Unfortunately, this method was not useful for the correct production of iron and so we tried new methods. The classic medieval bellows was a device consisting of wood and leather created worked to push the air into the fire of a furnace that allows the furnace to reach a temperature high enough so that the cast iron and strengthening through the addition of carbon.
