Many have been said about Owls. These birds have been known differently by the different cultures. In my motherland, Owls are a sign of bad luck. When for example this bird cries, people interpret it as a sign of death at any of the neighboring houses for as long as they also heard the voice while crying. I know this is culture and believes of the different people.
Personally, I don’t think so well as truth is, I have no knowledge in support of my reasoning. My question to you is simple, do you also know Owls as bad or omens?
Here it’s the same, but I personally love owls. I agree with what Alex said.
Even in our land, owls do not mean anything good
Any nocturnal creature, especially a predator, is likely to be viewed as evil or a harbinger of evil. I am not aware of any specific reason for owls to be labeled as such, but Tiada raises an excellent point with the eyes…
Yes, think because of it’s big eyes.
Haha, the eyes makes something of bad luck. Anyways, that’s culture.
All I know is people refer to the owl as wise.
And that they are my friend. Wise, not bad luck.
I get you. That is why when it cries, its like sensing danger. May be yes.
I do not know if owls are a sign of bad luck, but they are beautiful. Carol DM from Virily has a Friendly owl they visit named Cotton.
That is interesting to know.
Yes indeed, I have never heard this either and I refuse to believe it. 🙂
That’s culture.. Also I don’t know why its said like that..
